The DSV Winsertor was originally a small German supply vessel, MV Winsertor, working in the North Sea and was later converted to a four point mooring, saturation diving vessel.
I completed three tours between 10-10-2001 and 30-07-2002 on locations in East Malaysia, Malaysia east coast and Thailand. The ship was based in Batam, Indonesia but I also joined and left at sea off Sarawak and Thailand.
Enjoyed working on this ship despite the cramped conditions, moaning charterer’s reps and limited manoeuvrability of the vessel.
Laying a four anchor spread whilst coping with currents and avoiding pipelines and wellheads was a challenge but one that I enjoyed.
